Our Mission
Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) is a professional association serving as the voice and face of optometry in the state.
Since 1935, OPW has served the interests and promoted the success of optometric physicians and their patients. OPW’s membership consists of over 850 professionals who represent Washington State optometrists and students. We provide our members with a variety of education, advocacy, and networking opportunities, all designed to enhance professionalism and promote high standards of conduct among all modes of licensed optometric practices.
OPW is an affiliate of the American Optometric Association (AOA), which offers members access to premier resources to maximize career success, as well as a network of over 40,000 doctors of optometry, optometry students, and paraoptometric assistants and technicians.
